In contrast to my Caribbean and English poetical works.

'Caribbean Country Tales' - is the first edition in a series of dual language cultural short stories about Caribbean rural life based around the early 1950's.
Although the stories are fictional they reflect factual lifestyles, language and geographical facts, to impart insight and knowledge. The first story is a dramatic and thrilling tale called, "Maya An Missa' Mangoose" which gives, frank and vivid insight into the raw roots of Caribbean culture. Some colourful illustrations are also included to enhance visual perception, of early Caribbean lifestyles depicting the vast cultural void that now exists between cultures.

The series of imaginary tales is also animated by a variety of animal characters indigenous to the Caribbean and is written in Caribbean Patwa to reinstate the identity of a language that has long been oppressed and belittled by Standard English literature and scholars that sadly to say, is now almost foreign to most British Caribbean's as well!

Therefore some terminologies and descriptions will not be familiar to some but unique only to those that were brought up in the rural areas of the Caribbean. The stories are specifically intended to encourage creativity through usage of the written and spoken dialect that is of foremost importance to those Caribbean's schooled in the British Educational system.

I hope the written and spoken word, will be of special interest and benefits in the promotion of cultural identity and preservation of historical heritage for future generations.

Caribbean County Tales - is suitable for Adults and Children.
Audio CD also includes exciting sound effects.
